Port Anthony set to gain new biomass-to-hydrogen project capable of producing three tonnes of hydrogen per day

Port Anthony, Victoria is set to gain another significant hydrogen project with Babcock and Wilcox (B&W) collaborating with Port Anthony Renewables to develop a new biomass-to-hydrogen project capable of producing three tonnes of hydrogen per day.

The A$30m ($22.15m) deal will see the implementation of B&W’s BrightLoop hydrogen technology, capable of generating hydrogen from waste timber and other wood-based feedstock.

With development to set commence on the project, it could provide the anticipated Port Anthony Green Hydrogen Hub a new, significant contribution to the hydrogen output of the region.
