Poppe + Potthoff’s PPH2 material tested and approved

Poppe + Potthoff has announced its PPH2 material has been successfully tested and approved to be utilised in hydrogen applications.

The company designed PPH2 as an alternative for pipes and rails in hydrogen applications and it has been tested in accordance with ANSI/CSA CHMC 1-2014.

PPH2 is an alloyed carbon steel with high mechanical properties which allow the production of thinner-walled components and therefore a reduction in weight – in comparison to stainless steel – while increasing the availability of hydrogen pipes and rail.
