Poland launches subsidies and law reforms to energise hydrogen sector

The Polish Government is rolling out subsidies and new legislation to regulate and boost the country’s hydrogen industry.

The Ministry for Climate and Environment said it plans to introduce an electrolyser manufacturing subsidy programme, backed by Polish bank BGK, with a budget of PLN 2.7bn ($685m) next year.

It also revealed it is in talks with the EU to negotiate additional funds from the European Hydrogen Bank (EHB), which could result in a national-level auction like those seen in Germany.
