Plug Power on Monday (May 1) unveiled its new high-power stationary hydrogen-powered fuel cell system for commercial electric vehicles (EV) fleets.
Combining its 18,000 gallon (81,829 litres) liquid hydrogen tank with its megawatt-scale PEM fuel cell solution, Plug says the charger can provide over 60MWh of instantaneous energy to charge more than 600 EVs.
The solution comes as transport operators face challenges ranging from grid power capacity restrictions, clean power requirements and grid infrastructure upgrade waiting times, in a bit to provide cost effective charging.
