Plug Power has announced it has secured an order for 100MW of its proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysers.
The electrolysers will be utilised in the ‘largest’ announced project in the European oil and gas sector, capable of generating approximately 43 tonnes per day of green hydrogen, powered by renewable electricity.
The produced hydrogen will replace grey hydrogen in the oil refining process and is anticipated to eliminate around 516 tonnes per day of carbon dioxide (CO2).
