Plug Power plans to develop three green hydrogen plants with a 2.2GW capacity in Finland by the end of the decade.
The plants are expected to produce 850 tonnes per day (tpd) of green hydrogen, with final investment decision (FID) anticipated for 2025-2026.
Applying Plug’s PEM electrolyser and liquefaction technology, the green hydrogen produced at the three sites will support the production of green direct reduced iron (DRI), reduce the dependence on fossil fuels and support Europe’s decarbonisation.
