Plug Power has announced it will supply STEF’s energy subsidiary, Blue EnerFreeze, with a complete green hydrogen ecosystem across two storage distribution centres.
One distribution centre is close to Paris, France, whilst the other is near Madrid, Spain, the agreement potentially expanding further into STEF’s network of more than 100 sites.
Lead acid battery-powered forklifts lose their charge quickly in extremely cold conditions, and due to temperatures in STEF’s chilled and frozen food storage warehouses potentially plunging to below -30°, hydrogen solutions may be beneficial.
