Plug Power eyes ‘multi-gigawatt’ green hydrogen projects in India by 2030

Plug Power is exploring the opportunity of launching ‘multi-gigawatt’ electrolyser projects in India by 2030, the US green hydrogen firm has confirmed to H2 View.

In a statement, the company said it intends to partner with a “prominent local player” with an “in-depth understanding” of the Indian market, which it claims could bolster the country’s hydrogen sector.

“This collaboration can play a crucial role in advancing the local hydrogen sector, reducing costs and accelerating the path to economic parity for green hydrogen,” Plug Power President, Sanjay Shrestha said.
