Plastic Omnium becomes partner of MissionH24

Plastic Omnium has today become a partner in MissionH24, as well as an exclusive supplier of hydrogen storage systems for cars competing in the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2024.

Aiming to promote the use of hydrogen in racing, the project has the ultimate goal of introducing hydrogen prototypes at Le Mans, the 24-hour race in France, when a special hydrogen class will be created for a zero emission race.

Plastic Omnium will provide hydrogen storage of all race prototypes which will be used to test the technologies before they are used in the competition cars. The systems will be tested in both closed trials and rase to demonstrate the potential of hydrogen technology.

Christian Kopp, President and CEO of Plastic Omnium Clean Energy Systems, said, “For this project, we’ll be developing systems subject to extreme operating conditions.”
