Plans for Australia’s first waste-to-hydrogen plant have taken a big step forward.
Wildfire Energy today (16th Feb) confirmed the news stating that it has received $200,000 for its proposal to commercialise the waste-to-hydrogen process.
Awarded by the Queensland State Government’s Department of tourism, Innovation and Support, the funding will help Wildfire market its moving injection horizontal gasification (MIHG) technology focused on the production of hydrogen for domestic use.
By diverting waste from landfills, the MIHG technology can be used to produce renewable electricity and hydrogen and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from waste management.
