Plans approved for DH2’s 35MW electrolysis plant in Spain

DH2 Energy has received the green light to develop its 35MW green hydrogen production plant in Aragon, Spain.

After securing an Integrated Environmental Authorisation for the Hysencia plant, DH2 will begin construction early next year (2025) and it’s planned to produce 1,700 tonnes of renewable hydrogen each year to support the mobility and industrial sectors.

Boasting a 35MW electrolysis and 49MWp solar photovoltaic plant, the project will produce 99GWh of renewable electricity each year to power the electrolyser. In addition, it will feature a 10MW connection to the electricity grid.
