PKN ORLEN’s hydrogen hub to be located in the city of Włocławek, Poland, is one step closer to reality as the company begins its search for a contractor.
Designed to ultimately produce up to 600kg of purified hydrogen per hour, the project marks an important step in PKN ORLEN’s emission neutrality strategy.
Daniel Obajtek, President of the PKN ORLEN Management Board, said, “Hydrogen is a fuel of the future that will be widely used, not only in transport, but also in power generation.”
“We are already intensifying our activities to develop hydrogen technologies in order to gain a strong competitive position in this segment as of 2022.”
