Australian-based Patriot Hydrogen has announced it has launched in Malaysia following its first deal in Asia, hoping to address the region’s demand for renewable energy and hydrogen.
Its first project comes in the form of a joint venture with an unnamed Singaporean investment firm and an unnamed local Malaysian project developer, which seeks to biochar production.
Using a thermochemical process, the joint venture hopes to convert biomass materials such as forest and agricultural waste into syngas which can be used for multiple processes, including hydrogen, low-carbon ammonia, and renewable energy.
