ATOME has completed a formal Free Trade Zone (FTZ) contract for its 145MW green hydrogen-based fertiliser project in Paraguay.
The 30-year term contract for the Villeta project grants the initiative tax-free status, allowing ATOME to benefit from exemptions on municipal VAT and corporate taxes and provide material benefits for its economic efficiency.
The Villeta project is expected to have a production capacity of 264,000 tonnes per year of green calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN) fertiliser. ATOME completed a front-end engineering design (FEED) study for the 145MW project in June (2024), ahead of a final investment decision planned for the end of 2024.
