Pacific Energy to lead hydrogen refuelling at Canberra station

Pacific Energy has acquired a hydrogen refuelling station from ActewAGL, located in Canberra, Australia.

After becoming publicly available for the first time in 2021, the facility served a growing fleet of hydrogen-powered vehicles in the region. The largest fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) fleet operator, the ACT Government will continue to access the station through an extended fleet lease provided by Hyundai.

The facility in Fyshwick was originally designed and constructed by Pacific Energy’s subsidiary, ENGV, and it includes electrolysers from Nel and hydrogen refuelling station capabilities from PDC Machines and IVYS Energy Solutions.

This marks Pacific Energy’s first investment in hydrogen infrastructure, supporting its target of refuelling zero-emission cars and therefore grow the hydrogen ecosystem. ActewAGL will continue to be a customer of the facility.
