Over 400 companies, associations, NGOs and more have called on the EU to confirm the bloc’s climate targets following an election that delivered gains for the right.
The joint statement, with 449 signatories including Hydrogen Europe and Renewable Hydrogen Coalition, said delivering and completing the Green Deal was “essential” to all of Europe’s strategic objectives.
Launched in 2019, the Green Deal initiative aims to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2030. Setting circular economy, clean energy, sustainable industry and biodiversity goals, the deal became the foundation for much of the recent renewable hydrogen policy and targets.
