Hyzon Motors CEO, Parker Meeks has said the company’s 200kW single stack hydrogen fuel cell system could offer dramatic weight, volume and cost savings.

“All other trucks that we are aware of use two 100-150kW fuel cell systems to deliver the power needed for a heavy-duty truck, and we’re doing that in a single system,” he told H2 View.

Having announced the completion and factory acceptance testing of its first nine samples of the systems in July (2023), Meeks is hopeful Hyzon will deliver the product to commercial production soon.
