Ohmium International is joining forces with two Indian organisations to establish the country’s “first” green methanol plant, powered by Ohmium’s PEM electrolyser technology for hydrogen production.
Ohmium will work alongside the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Breathe Applied Sciences and Spirare Energy to develop the project, which will combine green hydrogen with CO2 captured from the Singareni Thermal Power Plant to produce green methanol.
H2 View understands that the process to synthesise green methanol from CO2 emissions was developed by researchers at Breathe Applied Sciences and JNCASR. Additionally, Spirare partnered with Ohmium to procure the PEM solution.
