Nuvera Fuel Cells technology will play an integral role in a new partnership between Hyster-Yale Group and Capacity Trucks that plans to develop electric and hydrogen-powered terminal tractors.
To be deployed in shipping ports globally, Hyster-Yale Group and Capacity Trucks hope to have the terminal tractor prototypes available for market testing by 2021.
Commenting on the announcement, Lucien Robroek, CEO of Nuvera, said, “We are excited that both Hyster-Yale Group and Capacity see the benefits of introducing hydrogen-powered products, and proud that Nuvera is the exclusive supplier for this partnership.”
