India’s NTPC is set to develop the nation’s first green hydrogen microgrid project that will utilise a 240kW solid oxide electrolyser for large-scale hydrogen production, the company has said.
NTPC has said the project marks a significant milestone for India’s hydrogen economy with it being the first green hydrogen-based energy storage project in addition to it being one of the largest in the world.
This will ultimately provide a boost to India’s hydrogen prospects with it to provide clean energy to nearby areas and buildings in the Andhra Pradesh region.
