TECO 2030 and Umoe Mandal have received preliminary approval for the design of a high-speed hydrogen fuel cell-powered vessel.
Opting for a catamaran design, the vessel will boast a “multi-megawatt fuel cell” and is expected to have a service speed of 35 knots, a minimum range of 160 miles and hold 275 passengers.

TECO 2030 Group CEO, Tore Enger, claimed the vessel can become “an accelerator for emission-free marine passenger transport,” adding that the company will now engage with interested parties.x
