Norwegian-Danish JV produces first molecules of hydrogen for biogas

Norwegian Hydrogen’s joint venture (JV) Grøn Brint has produced its first molecules of hydrogen from its 2MW Hjørring plant in Denmark.

A 50/50 JV between Norwegian Hydrogen and Jens Peter Lunden and his company JPLL Holding, Grøn Brint plans to produce green hydrogen from the plant to meet the demand for GrønGas’ liquid biogas production.

Another JV of Lunden’s, this time with E.ON, GrønGas plans to combine green hydrogen with biogenic CO2 to produce the biogas for sale in the German market.
