The Norwegian Hydrogen Forum (NHF) and the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association of Singapore (HFCAS) have agreed on a hydrogen-based partnership.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two organisations will exchange on policies and regulatory frameworks to support the use of hydrogen.
A statement released explained the partnership will “further stimulate bilateral collaboration in industry and research, as well as encourage and support a closer hydrogen partnership between the two countries.”
Both countries want to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050 and have established climate and energy policies to reach this. Singapore released its hydrogen strategy in 2022, which aims for low-carbon hydrogen to meet half the country’s power needs by 2050.
