Nikola has announced its surpassed 200 sales orders for its Class 8 hydrogen-powered fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) through its HYLA brand.
The 202 sales for the heavy-duty trucks represents 18 end customers, with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) supporting the sales.
The vehicle has a range of up to 500 miles and a refuelling time of around 20 minutes, which is expected to be the longest ranges of all commercially available zero tailpipe emission Class 8 trucks.
