Nikola and E.ON Hydrogen have announced plans to contribute to the EU’s sustainability goals by making hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) cost competitive with those powered by diesel.
The two companies will combine sales of Nikola hydrogen trucks with services and hydrogen fuelling infrastructure solutions, offering customers what the partnership has called a ‘first-of-its-kind integrated mobility solution’.
By 2027, it is hoped enough hydrogen would have been supplied to power up to 5,000 Nikola Tre FCEVs in Europe.
