New Zealand Government focuses on zero emissions vehicles

The New Zealand Government is focusing on zero emissions vehicles, such as those powered by hydrogen, to help meet its 2050 carbon neutral target.

In line with the advice of the Climate Change Commission to increase the uptake of low emission vehicles, the Government has introduced new rebates for electric and plug-in hybrid vehi8cles starting July 1 with up to $8,625 for new vehicles and $3,450 for used.

Such announcement comes straight after the G7 Summit in Carbis Bay, Cornwall, at which climate change and emissions cutting was a key theme.
