Heavy-duty hydrogen electric material handling equipment is the focus of a brand-new partnership announced today (3rd March).
Loop Energy and Morello Giovanni have joined forces on the development of such vehicles and are full steam ahead with plans as they target design completion within the first half of 2021.
Following the design, the companies then hope to deploy an initial ten heavy-duty tractors with early adopter customers over the following 18 months.
As part of the agreement, Loop Energy will supply Morello with its eFlow™ fuel cell modules for integration into each of the vehicles, that if match other Morello vehicles, will be able to operate with payloads of up to 1,000 tonnes.
