New Jersey fuel cell taskforce bill progresses

A new bill which will establish a fuel cell taskforce in New Jersey has progressed.

The full assembly recently made a unanimous vote, advancing the legislation which will establish a 15-member taskforce with the Board of Public Utilities on the use of fuel cell technology.

Sponsors of the bill include Assembly Democrats Gordon Johnson (D-Bergen), Herb Conaway (D-Burlington) and Andrew Zwicker (D-Somerset, Mercer, Middlesex, Hunterdon).

“As the applications of fuel cell technology continue to grow, we are looking at an ever-increasing capacity to shift away from fossil fuels and toward better, cleaner power sources,” the bill supporters said in a joint statement.
