The German Federal Government has appointed Dr. Klaus Schäfer, Chief Technology Officer of adhesive manufacturing company Covestro, to the National Hydrogen Council.
Schäfer will represent the chemical in industry in German within the Council.
For both the chemical industry and Covestro, hydrogen is an important step forward in achieving climate neutrality and the development towards a circular economy.
In its 2050 Roadmap, the German chemical industry stated that the production and use of climate-friendly hydrogen for the manufacturer of chemical products will play a pivotal role.
