Loop Energy, a Canadian provider of fuel cell electric range extenders for medium and heavy-duty transport, has appointed Wayne Eckerle to its Board of Directors.
Eckerle, who currently serves as Cummins’ Vice President of Global Research and Technology, brings both industry relevance as well as a deep understanding of technology development and integration to Loop.
In his role at Cummins, Eckerle is responsible for developing and integrating technology for Cummins’ next generation of products, developing advanced computer simulation and advanced manufacturing capability, deploying engineering processes to improve product development efficiency, and creating the technology roadmaps for future products.
Talking to H2 View about the new appointment, Ben Nyland, President and CEO of Loop Energy said, “As a member of our Board of Directors, Wayne will help us traverse both challenges and opportunities as Loop navigates the path from technology developer to industry supplier,” Nyland said.
