Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser has received the purchase order for 20MW alkaline electrolyser equipment from Hyd’Occ for its French green hydrogen project in Port-La-Nouvelle.
Valued at around €9m ($10.1m), the purchase order is for the alkaline stacks and balance of plant equipment, with stacks expected to be delivered at the end of 2023 where Nel will assist Hyd’Occ with the installation of the equipment.
Having already performed the front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for the project, Nel expects the project to become a significant hub for hydrogen flows in the Mediterranean.
