NatPower to fuel Hydrocell’s retrofitted hydrogen vessel

NatPower H has agreed to supply approximately 4.5 tonnes of hydrogen over three years to Hydrocell’s light passenger transport vessel.

The hydrogen will be supplied to the vessel, “Nobody’s Perfect”, from one of the stations to be installed by NatPower H or in mobile mode. The company’s CEO, Andrea Minerdo, claimed the agreement consolidates its “commitment and knowledge as a vital player in the decarbonisation of boating.”

Hydrocell retrofitted a 17-metre fishing vessel with a 10kg capacity hydrogen engine that allows for 30 hours of sailing, managed by a control unit designed by the Italian company.

H2 View understands that refuelling operations will begin during the testing phase of the vessel and continue into the operational phase.
