The Cruise Division of MSC Group, Fincatieri and Snam today (July 26) revealed the intention to jointly develop conditions for the design and construction of the world’s first oceangoing hydrogen-powered cruise ship.
This intention has been formalised with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and will see a study carried out into the feasibility of designing the world first oceangoing hydrogen cruise ship, the group said.
This will also include the development of a related hydrogen bunkering infrastructure for the vessel.
