A UK cement kiln has successfully operated with hydrogen technology to become a world first in utilising this technology for cement power, said the Mineral Products Association (MPA) today (Sept 29).
Led by the MPA, Hanson UK and supported with £3.2m ($4.32m) by the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the trial successfully paves the way forward for net zero operation using hydrogen.
