The hydrogen industry needs to move fast and take risks to accelerate the energy transition, according to ERM Partner David Hart.
Speaking at the Hydrogen Online Conference 2023, he said, “If we don’t cause energy system chaos, the climate chaos will be even worse. Pragmatism and consistent policy can help order come to the chaos.”
While moving fast means we will “break things but learn”, he said rapidly implementing the learning will help us keep the momentum.
“Industry and government are now making decisions under extreme uncertainty – but not choosing will also slow things down,” he added.
