The BMW iX5 hydrogen fuel cell car has made its way to mountainous Muscat, and down into the halls of the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
It marks the latest leg in BMW’s ‘world tour’ to promote hydrogen mobility technology to prospective customers.
Speaking to delegates at the Oman Green Hydrogen Summit, Dr. Jurgen Guldner, General Program Manager Hydrogen Technology for BMW Group, said the model contains hydrogen tanks at 700 bar and refuelling takes a rapid three-to-four minutes, but also contains electric technology, thereby “combining the best of both worlds”.
