Mitsui E&S will deliver a high-pressure, high-flow hydrogen compressor to Tsuneishi Corporation for use in Japan’s “first” offshore hydrogen station.
Currently being developed by the Fukuyama-based JPN H2YDRO, the offshore facility will supply hydrogen to vessels, including tugboats equipped with hydrogen co-firing engines.
Mitsui’s VD4-250GH-OL compressor solution has been “optimised for longevity,” according to the Japanese firm. It’s expected to enable stable hydrogen compression with minimal downtimes.
