During H2 View’s Aerospace and Aviation webinar, last Friday (May 13), it was heard thata report [1] from the climate charity, Possible, had found that the aviation industry has failed to meet all but one of 50 of its own climate targets in the past two decades.
With the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG) reporting [2] that aviation is responsible for 12% of carbon dioxide emissions from transport sources, the webinar heard that the industry has begun to move,and that hydrogen has potential to take a strong lead.
An article by the Guardian [3] last Tuesday (May 10) reported that the charity had found that nearly all targets set by the industry since 2000 had been ‘missed, abandoned or forgotten’.
