Milestone reached during HVS’ hydrogen-powered truck test programme

Hydrogen Vehicle Systems’ (HVS) X2.0 hydrogen-powered test vehicle has successfully pulled a trailer during its heavy goods vehicle (HGV) trial programme.

Executed at the high-speed track at UTAC in Millbrook, UK, HVS has stated the vehicle “didn’t disappoint with excellent performance on its very first test run.”

Featuring a hydrogen fuel cell propulsion system, the vehicle only emits water. During the test, HVS’ fuel cells worked as expected.

The Glasgow-based company is putting the X2.0 through various testing phases, focused on different aspects of the vehicle design to be used alongside computer-aided engineering models.
