Microbial hydrogen consumption likely to be “negligible to small” in underground storage, says new report

A new study into microbial activity in sub-surface hydrogen storage has found that it is unlikely to be an impediment in future underground storage sites.

The study, published in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, found that despite microbial growth potential in underground storage sites, the consumption is likely to be “negligible to small”.
