Messer announces 10MW green hydrogen plant plans

Industrial gas major Messer will develop a 10MW green hydrogen plant in Brainergy Park Jülich, Germany.

HyDN GmbH will operate the hydrogen plant, a joint venture between the district Düren and Messer, and it is expected to boast a production capacity of up to 180kg of hydrogen per hour, making it the “largest” production facility in Germany.

The plant is scheduled to become operational in the fall of 2025, with NEUMAN & ESSER to provide two electrolysers for hydrogen production and two diaphragm compressors for pressurising the hydrogen.
