The McGowan Government has reaffirmed its support for a renewable hydrogen industry, having today (July 21) announced that it is now a Founding Member of the Smart Energy Council’s Zero Carbon Certification Scheme.
Launched to accelerate the development and deployment of renewable hydrogen, green ammonia and green metals, such as green steel and green zinc, the scheme focuses on both Australia and the wider world.
Through the scheme, Smart Energy Council will also certify that renewable hydrogen, green ammonia or green metal has been made from renewable energy sources, and provide and embedded carbon rating.
