Following on from the launch of its first hydrogen-electric truck, Tevva Motors has today (July 5) revealed a multi-year supply agreement with Loop Energy to deliver fuel cells for the production of its new truck.
The deal, with commitments in excess of $12m through 2023, extends to 2024 making Tevva the first manufacturer to move into the full production phase of Loop Energy’s customer adoption cycle, where the company will integrate the fuel cell system into its manufacturing process, H2 View understands.
Coming off the back of Tevva’s orders for 2022, the companies say a surge in 2023 order volumes indicates a willingness within the commercial mobility sector to adapt hydrogen fuel cell technology as a zero-emission mobility solution.
