Lone Cypress Energy Services has announced the completion of the front-end engineering design (FEED) study on its California hydrogen project.
The company now anticipates reaching a final investment decision (FID) before the end of 2023, expected to start up in Q4 2025.
Located at the Elk Hills Field in Kern County, the Lone Cypress Hydrogen Project study encompassed a 65 metric tonne per day steam methane reformation plant, with an integrated hydrogen liquefaction, storage, dispensing and a post combustion carbon capture system and all associated balance of plant infrastructure.
