London P&I, H2Terminals to develop green hydrogen maritime insurance

UK-based hydrogen marine technology firm H2Terminals has partnered with maritime insurer London P&I Club to develop green hydrogen shipping insurance.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two will work to evaluate and develop insurance solutions for the maritime transport of green hydrogen.

H2Terminal plans to produce green hydrogen on floating barges on the Thames Estuary in the UK, using electricity from an energy island that could be 100km offshore.
