Saltend Chemicals Park in Hull, England will play a crucial part in the UK’s evolving hydrogen economy, with Equinor confirming the site will host the kickstarter project of the Zero Carbon Humber (ZCH) initiative.
It was just last week (Jan 21) when Equinor said it has submitted plans for its 600MW Hydrogen to Humber (H2H) hydrogen production facility that will produce clean hydrogen from natural gas in combination with carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies.
Expected to cut emissions by nearly 900,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually, the development will play a key role in the UK hitting its carbon emissions targets and it strive to achieve carbon neutrality.
