Liquid Wind has received a €15m ($16.9m) investment to support the development of its FlagshipONE plant that will produce the company’s liquid carbon neutral fuel, eMethonal, from captured carbon dioxide and green hydrogen.
To be connected to Övik Energi’s combined heat and power (CHP) plant Hörneborgsverket in Örnsköldsvik, in the north of Sweden, the site is projected to produce 50,000 tonnes of eMethanol annually starting in 2024.
Construction on the site is believed to begin in the spring of 2022.
