Dow has selected Linde as its industrial gas partner for its proposed Net Zero integrated ethylene cracker and derivatives site in Fort Saskatchewan, Canada.
Linde will supply clean hydrogen and nitrogen to Dow and will complete the design and engineering for a company-owned and operated air separation and autothermal reformer complex, which will be integrated into Fort Saskatchewan’s existing operations.
The proposed production process in Canada will convert cracker off-gas into hydrogen as a clean fuel to be used in the ethylene production process. The complex is expected to decarbonise approximately 20% of its global ethylene capacity.
