Linde has today (August 18) unveiled plans to build, own and operate a two-megawatt electrolyser plant in Austria to supply the semiconductor industry with green hydrogen.
To be developed at an Infineon Technologies site, the plant will produce hydrogen by utilising proton exchange membrane (PEM) technology from UK-based ITM Power.
Formalising the plans, Linde has inked a long-term agreement with Infineon Technologies for the on-site production and storage of high-purity green hydrogen, alongside other industrial gases.
