Linde will spend an additional $3bn to decarbonise its own operations and plans to triple the amount of clean hydrogen production by 2028.
The industrial gas major’s 2023 Sustainable Development Report, published today (July 29), confirmed its plans to address climate change, earmarking 2028, 2035 and 2050 as three key milestones.
The company targets a 35% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2028 and wants to be climate-neutral by 2050. Linde’s $50bn project pipeline will focus on clean energy, hydrogen production, carbon capture, and storage.
